The Atelier

A small house with a clear point of view.

Evelyn & Iris began in a back room in Walker County, Alabama — a daughter teaching her mother's old Bernina to keep up with a vision of a slower kind of wardrobe.

We work in small runs. We work with mills we know by name. We design clothes that ask less of you, and give more in return — a coat for a decade, a knit for the season after next.

Why Evelyn & Iris

Built on four quiet ideas

01

Beautiful Fabric

Italian wool, Mongolian cashmere, washed silk, organic poplin — sourced from mills with five-generation reputations.

02

Considered Cuts

Every pattern is graded across nine sizes and re-fit on real bodies before it leaves the studio.

03

Small Runs

We make 80 to 200 of each piece. When they're gone, they're gone — by design, not by accident.

04

Made to Last

Free mending for the lifetime of the garment. We'd rather you wore it for ten years than ten weeks.

What people are saying

★★★★★

The Henri coat is the best thing in my closet. I've worn it through two Alabama winters and a New York one — still looks brand new.

— Margaret R., Atlanta GA
★★★★★

Quietly the best cashmere I own. Soft like a baby blanket, but with a real shape that holds up after the wash.

— Caroline H., Brooklyn NY
★★★★★

Alisha actually answered my email about hem length. That kind of care is rare. The trousers are perfect.

— Theresa M., Nashville TN
